About Events

The AIMS Ghana QTEdu Global Event is a week-long celebration of innovation, collaboration, and education.
Theme: Accelerating Capacity Building to Advance Quantum Science & Technology

Goals:

Why Attend

1

Gain hands-on experience in quantum technology.

2

Network with global experts and peers.

3

Be part of shaping the future of quantum education.

Quantathon

An OQI-Supported Hackathon

The goal of the AIMS Quantathon is to create opportunities for young Africans to participate in quantum education and contribute to the development of Quantum Computing (QC) applications for SDGs.

This is Based on the “Hackathon in a Box” toolkit which is curated by the Open Quantum Institute (OQI) Education Consortium.

Why Register

Gain hands-on experience applying quantum computing to develop innovative solutions within diverse, cross-disciplinary teams.
Explore the full journey of creating a technology startup, from ideation to designing impactful applications that benefit humanity.
Engage with global experts in quantum education through presentations and interactive sessions, enriching your knowledge and network.

Quantum Science & Technology Education Workshop

In order to develop world-class innovative educational programs that unlock the potential of young people, and transform them to the leading edge of quantum information science and technology for Africa and the Global South, expert scientists will be brought on board to speak during the workshop.

Why Participate?

Hear from experts as they shape a global agenda for Quantum Education and Outreach, setting goals and strategies for stakeholders like universities, industries, schools, and the public.
Gain insights into how the agenda emphasizes capacity building, particularly in the Global South, to bridge educational gaps.
Discover the creation of a Quantum Technology Education blueprint—an essential guide for institutions, regions, and nations to establish and advance quantum education programs.

Quantum Technology Public Lecture

The Public lecture is to create a platform for scientists to discuss and engage the general public on the emergence of the second quantum revolution and topic on quantum science and technology thereby strengthening interaction between scientists, academia, policy makers, industry and the society. The public lecture will be followed by a keynote panel discussion on the use of Quantum Science & Technology for the common good of humanity
