Quantathon

An OQI-Supported Hackathon

The goal of the AIMS Quantathon is to create opportunities for young Africans to participate in quantum education and contribute to the development of Quantum Computing (QC) applications for SDGs.

This is Based on the “Hackathon in a Box” toolkit which is curated by the Open Quantum Institute (OQI) Education Consortium.

Quantum Science & Technology Education Workshop

In order to develop world-class innovative educational programs that unlock the potential of young people, and transform them to the leading edge of quantum information science and technology for Africa and the Global South, expert scientists will be brought on board to speak during the workshop.

Quantum Technology Public Lecture

The Public lecture is to create a platform for scientists to discuss and engage the general public on the emergence of the second quantum revolution and topic on quantum science and technology thereby strengthening interaction between scientists, academia, policy makers, industry and the society. The public lecture will be followed by a keynote panel discussion on the use of Quantum Science & Technology for the common good of humanity
